Following on from Mike Richard's January Blog it's now my turn to update you on MR Recruitment's recent and forthcoming activities. Welcome to Mike Tucker's Blog

Since our last blog MR Recruitment has been extremely busy. Following uncertainty at the end of last year and a cautious start to 2008, the market has really picked up. The junior levels are extremely active with a high number of clients recruiting at grass roots level to ensure operational tasks are fulfilled – Helene King has been kept very busy! The middle and senior management area has also seen a sharp rise in the number of vacancies. I’ve been running assignments for a broad range of clients as they recruit to ensure teams are prepared to manage company’s operational risk in these uncertain times. Mike Richards has also been busy recruiting several senior level appointments and I’ve heard people telling me the market is quiet!!

We’ve just put the finishing touches to MR Recruitment’s latest newsletter which is set for distribution shortly. I won’t divulge the detail here but I hope you find the content informative and useful – this year’s salary survey makes interesting reading as always!

If that isn’t enough, we’ve also got the ACT conference in Edinburgh. There’s a new look to MR Recruitment’s exhibitor stand this year and following rapid business growth, a few new faces. We look forward to catching up with you if you’re attending. Your shoes will enjoy the stand too!

And on we go……from Edinburgh, Mike, Helene and I fly to Singapore to attend the Euro-Finance International Cash, Treasury and Risk (Asia Pacific) conference. Our global expansion continues to gather pace and this will be the first of several overseas trips in the next 12 months.

As you can see, we’re working hard to ensure we continue to bring new opportunities to market and guarantee we can source good, relevant candidates to fill them. Our commitment to improving the MR Service model remains a key focus and your feedback and comments are critical if we’re to improve our service offering so please feel free to email or phone us with your thoughts!
